The village of Dolene is one of the most picturesque villages in Bulgaria. An area of 96 acres has been authentically restored in order to preserve the old infrastructures from the 16th century. They are arranged with 80,000 types of flowers. Water cascades, flower beds, small bridges enrich the beauty of the village, creating an unforgettable experience for its visitors.

Dolene is located 20 km from the town of Petrich, in the direction of North Macedonia - the southern slopes of Mount Ograzhden. It is unique with its pyramidal structure. There is the 360-degree view, which in clear weather allows the view to reach hundreds of kilometers away. Important trade routes once passed through the village. Centuries ago, trade in the village flourished, the choice of goods was rich - everything could be found here. Its fate resembles the fate of most Bulgarian villages - it has been almost depopulated and neglected for decades. Its inhabitants can be counted on the fingers. In 2018, a benefactor decided to change that by starting to maintain and restore the village's former beauty. Today it is ennobled by active landscaping and arrangement with thousands of types of flowers. On the territory of the village there is also an authentic Assumption Church. A curious fact is that 12 stylized doves can be counted in it, hidden in various places throughout the carvings and friezes.

The visit to the village includes a tour guide as well as a tea tasting. You have the opportunity to visit the galleries in the village, the church, the Markeve area, the Sredorek spiritual center and others.
